Meredith Salenger

Salenger is a native of California and was born in Malibu. As a child she enjoyed acting in front of friends and family. Her mom took her to her first acting class when she was eight years old. Her first acting role was just a tiny part of an 'orphan who sings and dances for the feature film Annie written by John Huston. Salenger was also featured in a few television commercials. Salenger was first cast in The Journey of Natty Gann from Disney, which featured John Cusack alongside Ray Wise. The film was awarded the Moscow Film Festival's golden medal as the first US-made movie. It also won her "Best actor in a drama" in the Youth in Film Awards for her portrayal as the charming Natty Gann. In the following four movies by the time she turned 18 such as A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon after which she left Hollywood for Harvard to pursue her studies. Meredith Meredith Meredith
